Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) is a high temperature stable silicone that can withstand harsh weather environments and ozone. FVMQ also improves resistance to mineral oils and fuels, but is less resistant to hot gases than conventional silicone. Fluorosilicone is superior to silicone in fuels, aromatic mineral oils, benzene, toluene, aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
